Fees

Every cost, printed on one page.

Many marketplaces show fees late. We list them here, as they stand today, and say plainly where one is quoted per listing instead of fixed.

Why no percentage for commission? We have not set one that suits every kind of listing. A fixed number would be a guess. Each quote is a number you can accept or decline.

How a seller quote works

No surprise at the end

  1. 1

    You submit the listing

Through the sell flow or by asking for a managed sale.

  2. 2

    We review it

We check the facts and agree the price you want to ask.

  3. 3

    We quote the commission

In writing, as a percentage or an amount, for that listing.

  4. 4

    You decide

Accept and it goes live. Decline and you owe nothing.

Costs outside Market One

Some costs sit with other companies and are not ours to set or waive:

  • Domain registrar charges, for example a transfer or renewal fee.
  • Your own solicitor or accountant.
  • Any escrow service you choose to use for a deal outside Market One checkout. See the partner directory.
  • Tax. The price on a listing is not tax advice.

What we will not do

  • Add a fee at checkout that was not on this page.
  • Charge a buyer a hidden "service fee".
  • Raise a quoted commission after you accept it.

Our terms say the same in more formal words.

Questions

Fees, plainly

Who pays Stripe's fee?
Market One. A buyer pays the listed price and no more.
When is the commission due?
The quote you accept for that listing says.
What if the sale falls through?
Then no commission is due on it. A buyer whose transfer fails is refunded; see the terms.
What if a buyer and seller I introduced do the deal elsewhere?
The terms ask both sides not to go around Market One on a deal it introduced. The commission is still due. See the terms, section on introduced deals.
Will fees change?
They might. A change appears on this page first and does not touch a quote you have already accepted.
Do you charge for the valuation?
No. It is free and gives an estimate, not advice.
